Your Medicine Cabinet

A well-stocked medicine cabinet should have the following:

1. Tylenol: for fever and pain.  Tylenol comes in two concentrations, if there is any question in the appropriate dose for your child please call the office.
2. Ear pain drops: Ask us for a prescription.
3. Emetrol: for nausea and vomiting (see bottle label) for children over 2 years.
4. Imodium AD: for diarrhea:
   

   1 year - 2 year	1/4 tsp 3x day
   2 year - 5 year	1/2 tsp 3x day
   6 year - 12 year	1 tsp 3x day

   
   
5. Sudafed: for cold symptoms:
   

   4 mos.-2year	1/4 tsp.4xday
   2 yr. - 4 yr.	1/2 tsp. 4x day
   4 yr. - 6 yr.	3/4 tsp. 4x day
   6 yr. - 12 yr.	1 tsp. 4x day

   
   
6. Triple antibiotic ointment: for minor abrasions, bug bites, minor lacerations.
7. Ibuprofen for fever and pain
8. Benadryl: for rash, itching
